Time-Honored Renovation, Built by Craftsmen
Est. 1996
Ivey Builders delivers time-honored, artisan-grade renovation and remodeling across Loudoun County, with a specialty in historic home restoration — bringing the same level of craftsman-level detail to every project, historic or not.
Ivey Builders takes on home renovation and remodeling projects across Loudoun County. Historic work is where our craftsmanship really shows: true divided-light windows, hand-fitted trim, timber framing, and materials matched to the original build, often worked by hand with restored vintage tools, including antique metal hand planes. But the same standard of detail and finish carries into every project we take on, historic or not. Based in Hillsboro, we've built our reputation on old world workmanship combined with advanced tools, products and techniques.
Ivey Builders offers in-house architectural and design services — or seamlessly coordinates with your preferred architect and designer.

What Ivey Builders Does
Ivey Builders is based in Hillsboro, VA, and works throughout Loudoun County and the surrounding historic districts — Purcellville, Waterford, Round Hill, Leesburg, and Middleburg. Rooted in Loudoun County
“I'm 93 years old and decided to tackle the deferred maintenance on our historic house and barns so that my heirs will inherit the farm in great shape. I was fortunate to contract for this work with Ken Ivey several years ago and he has systematically with professional excellence, personal oversight and direct participation undertaken the many different repairs and new construction involving a large range of tasks. What has been most impressive has been his ability to conceptualize solutions to difficult structural problems while maintaining the fundamental qualities of our historic home and barns. If you are looking for a contractor for work on a historic structure I believe there is no better than Ken Ivey.”
